Steve Houghtaling is a highly accomplished engineer, innovator, and organizational leader. Steve is currently the Senior Vice President of Product Engineering at Belcan Engineering where he has been instrumental in driving the growth and success of the company. Prior to his work at Belcan Engineering, Houghtaling served as the Senior Engineering Leader for UTC Power, and as the Director of Engineering at Hamilton Sundstrand.
Steve Houghtaling grew up in Waterbury, CT. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford; he is a graduate of the UTC Executive Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Steve is one of the founders of the Aerospace Employment Placement Program (AEPP) which trains and prepares veterans and people experiencing homelessness for work in the field of aerospace engineering.
A lover of classic cars, Steve Houghtaling owns a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster, a 1931 Ford Model A Convertible Sedan (A400), and a 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT. He is devoted to the Boy Scouts, currently serving as the Troop Committee Chairman for Boy Scout Troop 20/20 in Vernon, CT. Steve is the proud father of Gavin and Mira.
